It's Time to Start Acting On Opportunities

A Minute with MikeIt's been a great pleasure for me to speak with many of you at our Open Houses over the last several weeks.  I have to say that this is the best I've felt going into a season in a couple years.  While we may not be looking at a record-breaking season, I'm not part of the 'doom and gloom' crowd.  There are still opportunities out there... now is the time to start acting on those opportunities.

Have you pulled out those bids you gave last fall where the homeowner said, "I think we'll wait 'till next year."  Have you organized those prospect lists from the home shows?  Have you decided how you are going to create demand for your products and services?

Your selling season has started, you have opportunities, and I want you to take full advantage of them.  Don't wait for your competition to decide when it's time to get going.

All of us at REAMS are energized and excited for this year.  We look forward to helping you capture those opportunities.  Anything from bouncing some ideas around about how to capture some of your current opportunities to figuring out ways to create opportunities - we're here for all of it.

Thank you for business, let's make 2010 a great year!

New Blazing "Fast Fittings" Eliminate Clamps

Imagine insert fittings that secure themselves without the need for cumbersome clamps!  Just slide them into poly pipe and they retain themselves.

Now every contractor's dream is a reality with a new family of 1" clamp-free fittings from Blazing Products.  These ingenious fittings require no tools, clamps, or other materials.

Each tee, elbow or male adapter slips into the pipe quickly and easily. The patented lock ring technology slides back to lock the fittings into place and a double O-ring seal prevents leaks and provides a secure fit.  These fittings have proven reliable at over 400 PSI.

Tested in the field by contractors for over a year, Blazing Fast Fittings are ready for your next installation.

Download the Fast Fittings brochure here.

Then fill out the on-line form to get some FREE SAMPLES.

You'll soon say goodbye to traditional clamped insert fittings.

Tip from Ron: A "10 Point Service Check-Up"

RonA lot of contractors have been asking me how they can make more money in service in 2010.  Many are expecting installation to be slow, so they're looking for ways to maximize the dollars they bill on each service call.

Here's an idea that can increase your revenue and boost your customer satisfaction.  Make a "10 point service check-up" sheet.   Just make a list of 10 things that your technicians should check for with every spring start up.

Some my favorite things to list are:  heads that need to be raised/lowered, if the system has a rain sensor, riser-mounted heads that could be converted to high-pops, coverage problems and more.

Then turn your list into a form that your techs will use on every service call to alert homeowners to potential issues that they can choose to address.  Pointing out opportunities to improve your customer's system will increase their satisfaction with your service, make you look more professional and boost sales.

Spring is Here:  Proper Start-Up of an RPZ

"Families that have had to shelve plans of trading up for a bigger house are now looking to make more out of what they have."

"One trend is the move to turn backyards into an extension of the home, complete with sofas, kitchens and lighting." said Business Week magazine.

Sunset Bay outdoor kitchens allow your customers to bring indoor kitchen activities to the outdoor spaces where their family and friends gather.   And they're a great way to grow your service offering.

The install fast and easy, with a fully modular design that expands to meet each project needs. Constructed of lightweight aluminum, they're not affected by the elements and are capable of being installed just about anywhere.

Lift-off panels allow for the refacing of the kitchen at any time.  Special mounting panels allow the contractor to veneer-cut stone or brick and apply to match the existing home-exterior.  Inserts include patterns in stone, brick, rock, wood and tile.
